BETTER THAN EYE CANDY
A true courtly love song! "Better Than Eye Candy" relates to anyone who has been teased by the beauty and sparkle in the eyes of someone that you thought was interested in you, instead, it has the singer wondering if it was ever real. When he sees her with another guy, he's crushed and conflicted, both admiring her beauty and her sparkling eyes and accepting the fact that love will never be an open door with her, never being who he thought she'd be. Digging deep into the musical soul, of Connor Stewart; this song ignited the drive for him release an EP with how bittersweet love can be. This song came together with a combination of clever double-meaning lyrics and a catchy pop melody that transcends its theme. The Charming Rebel
Connor has a different persona on stage during live performance than his everyday life persona. He has the Boy Next Door look and is a charming, likable guy with a wacky sense of humor. However, the on-stage Connor is a heightened version of the previous guy with a fearless nature that embodies a True Rebel, who blazes his own trail. His general target market would be centered for middle school to millennial audiences but could garner the respect of older generations with an infusion of musical influences such as a tinge of grudge and jazz elements in certain songs of his EP. These influences would catch the attention of the subcultures that are avid fans of particular flavors of music. Connor takes a complete marketing orientation by fitting in the niche of what his audience wants to listen to as well as music that he enjoys writing. Connor writes to the people that have been counted out, the misfits or the misunderstood, individuals never having their hopes and dreams realized or taken seriously.
